A WOMEN'S WRITING CIRCLE
STEP INTO YOUR VOICE • EXPRESS YOUR TRUTH • CLAIM YOUR POWER
An experience beyond what you originally thought was possible; vast; without limits.
Come be "boundless" and discover the beautiful language of your soul through expressive writing. Your words, your stories, and your courageously earned wisdom matter. In this sacred circle, all rules of grammar, critiques, and judgment are cast aside. We welcome, invite, and deeply witness what has been silenced, what has been unspoken, and what longs to be said through you. Together we will create a pathway to step fully, unbounded, into who we really are.
Come...There's a seat in this circle waiting for you.
WRITING CIRCLE FORMAT
We begin with presence and intention, dropping our awareness into our bodies and the empty spaciousness of being through breath, mindfulness, and ceremony.
We ease into writing with a creative or experiential "warm-up" and then begin to dive deeper through the use of prompts. A specific prompt may be offered or you will be invited to use a phrase or word from a poem or quote that captures your interest.
We will freewrite for a set period of time, typically varying from 3 to 15 minutes with each prompt . This is where you are able to let go and just be open to write from your soul. There is no way you can do this wrong. In the supportive container of our circle you can let go of perfectionism, the critical voice in your head, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. The only rule is to keep you hand moving, letting your voice emerge on the page.
After freewrites group members will be invited to read out loud what they have written. The circle commits to witnessing and deeply listening in silence, without offering comments or feedback. We receive the offering of each members voice with reverence and gratitude.
We end the group by closing our sacred circle with a blessing. Don't be surpised if the creative muse offers a unique twist to our benediction.
Join us for one or all three upcoming in-person Saturday sessions. Please note that registration for each individual session will close 5 days prior to scheduled date. Limited spaces available; maximum participants each session is limited to eight to maintain the intentionality for time for sharing.
BOUNDLESS ATTENDANCE, CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICIES
I understand that life happens and sometimes the unexpected can interrupt our commitments. If you are not going to be able to attend a group or workshop, please text or call Kailey at (401) 329-6527. Also, if you are running late, please text Kailey. Your communication will let us know you are safe and on your way.
If you register for a group or workshop and later become unable to attend, I will gladly offer a credit to use toward any future group or workshop OR a full refund can be requested if notice is given at least 2 weeks before the start of the group or workshop minus a $50.00 administrative fee. No refunds or credits will be given if less than a 14-day notice is provided. Please contact email@example.com with notification of your cancellation request.
Workshops and groups at Silvercrest Healing Sanctuary require a great deal of pre-planning, including ordering supplies – all based on the number of individuals who register. As a small business, when individuals ask to cancel at the last minute, I am unable to absorb these costs and keep costs affordable.
In fairness to all attendees, I am unable to make exceptions to this policy, including for reasons of illness, travel, or work hours. If you realize that you are unable to attend the group or workshop you registered for at the last minute, I suggest giving your spot to a friend.
In the event a group or workshop is cancelled due to inclement weather, emergency, or other act of God participants will be notified via text or email and every effort will be made to reschedule a make-up session. If the minimum number of participants needed to run a group or workshop is not met, any registered attendees will notified and given the option to receive a refund or have any fees paid applied towards a future group or workshop.
