WHAT IS COSMIC SMASHBOOKING?
I have countless "pretty" journals lined up on my closet shelf, the blank pages evident of my neglect. Not to mention the abandoned paintings, the unfinished knitting, and several other incomplete creative pursuits. When I discovered Cosmic Smashbooking, I anticipated that this would be yet another creative endeavor that would end up tucked away inside a box. It wasn't. Cosmic Smashbooking has become a beautiful, messy, colorful, and magical practice where the crumpled pages of a notebook repeatedly reveal and heal me in ways that I never could have imagined. My affinity for this process has led me to become a Certified Cosmic Smashbooking Guide.
Based on the fundamental principles of Intentional Creativity® and art journaling, Catt Z developed Cosmic Smashbooking as a tool that allows creativity and spirituality to intersect and become a pathway of self-discovery. Each page is an invitation to honor your intuition and deepen your connection and relationship with yourself and others through creative expression that is rooted in love, mindfulness, and intention.
The Basic Process

Free writing using a prompt or inquiry for approximately 5-10 minutes. You write whatever you are thinking without stopping, not overthinking, or worrying about spelling, punctuation, or grammar.

Opening to possibility through prayer and blessing (e.g., "Please show me...guide me...inspire me).

Adding color using whatever you have available - watercolors, paint, markers, crayons.

Introducing image-making through drawing, painting, collage, etc.

Some call it intuition, a gut feeling, or simply wisdom — your soul’s compass is a deep inner guide that helps you make choices aligned with your most authentic self. In this creative and reflective expressive arts journey, we’ll explore personal direction, purpose, and insight through metaphor, movement, nature, journaling, and mixed-media art-making the Cosmic Smashbooking way. Together, we’ll craft a visual and soulful map — one rooted in self-trust, shaped by seasons of transformation, and oriented toward deeper clarity and belonging. No art experience needed — just a willingness to listen within.
July 10, 2025 - Week 1 - Sanctuary of Self-Trust
Begin your journey by grounding into your own wisdom. This week is all about tuning in — to your breath, body, and the quiet voice within that often gets drowned out by external noise. We'll explore what it means to create an internal sanctuary of trust and discover how your inner compass has already been guiding you, even through life’s detours. Through intuitive journaling and expressive art, you’ll begin crafting the foundation of your personal “soul map.”
July 24, 2025 - Week 2- Fueling Your Courage
It takes courage to shed old stories and step into new ways of being. This week invites you to explore the inner spark that fuels your growth — your passion, your resilience, your inner fire. We’ll explore the transformative power of letting go through storytelling and expressive release, creating space for spontaneous joy and soulful renewal. Weather permitting, we’ll meet at Lincoln Woods State Park for a nature-based session.
August 7, 2025 -Week 3 - Webs of Shadow and Light
Not all that is hidden is meant to stay in the dark. This week, we explore emotional depth, healing, and the stories that reside in our inner landscape — both the shadow and the light. Just as rivers carry both clarity and murk, we’ll learn to embrace emotional complexity as part of our wholeness. Through fluid and reflective art, we begin to untangle old patterns and allow transformation to flow.
August 21, 2025 -Week 4 - Sweetness of Being
This session invites us to ground ourselves in what nourishes us — the sweetness, stillness, and simple pleasures of life. Through connection with the natural world and practices of sensory awareness, we’ll reflect on what brings us comfort, what anchors us, and what helps us feel truly at home within ourselves. Creative prompts will support integration and rest as you gather strength from your inner roots.
September 4, 2025 -Week 5 - Winds of Clarity
This week is about inspiration — in every sense of the word. We’ll focus on fresh perspective, vision, and clarity, honoring the moments in life that feel like a deep breath of possibility. Through light, airy materials and expansive thinking, participants will connect with their sense of purpose, curiosity, and inner direction.
September 18, 2025 - Week 6 - The Soul's Mirror
As we complete our journey, we’ll celebrate the landscape of the soul that has emerged. We’ll bring together the threads of the past six weeks to create a final artistic expression that honors the heart’s truth and the path ahead. With open hearts and fresh clarity, we’ll reflect on what we’ve discovered, what we’re ready to carry forward, and what it means to truly see ourselves — and our lives — through the eyes of the heart.

I offer tiered pricing to make this work more accessible while also sustaining the energy, time, and resources it takes to hold these spaces well. Please choose the tier that best reflects your current financial situation. No proof or explanation needed — I trust you.
Community Rate – $240 (Limited Spots Available)
For those with financial need. This tier helps cover basic supply costs and makes it possible for more folks to participate.
Standard Rate – $300
This is the true cost of the experience. Choose this tier if you're able to pay the full rate and want to support the offering as it’s priced.
Supporter Rate – $360
This tier helps pay it forward — sustaining the studio and helping others attend at a lower rate. Choose this if you’re in a position to give a little more.
Payment Option: A two-payment plan to help ease the cost is available when you register. You’ll pay half at registration, and the remaining balance one month later — no extra fees, no questions asked.

There is no doubt that at some point in your life criticism, either from within or without, dismissed, stifled, and I dare say, ‘squashed’ your creativity. Well no more! You are creative! You are more than good enough! You don't have to do anything perfectly! Your creativity is unique and invaluable, and no one else can replicate what you bring to the table. CREATIVITY IS ABOUT EXPRESSION AND EXPLORATION, NOT PERFECTION.
Give yourself permission to rediscover the freedom and joy of creating at one of our COSMIC PLAY DAYS. Whether you are brand new to Cosmic Smashbooking, feel the nudge to dust off your Cosmic Smashbook (yes...it's missed you), or just want to dabble in a little creative expression....COME!
Each session will have a theme and the opportunity to experiment with a different technique or material. You never know what may appear at a session to support your expression. Shaving cream, spaghetti, and bubbles are just a few things that have found there way to our cosmic playground in the past. BUT REMEMBER, THERE ARE NO RULES SO YOUR FULL CREATIVE LIBERTY IS WELCOME!

Cancellation & Attendance Policy for GRoUp, WORKSHOPS, and Breathwork Sessions
Life happens — and sometimes unexpected things get in the way. If you’re unable to attend a group, session, or workshop you’ve registered for, please text or call Kailey at (401) 329-6527. If you’re running late, a quick message is appreciated so we know you’re safe and on your way.
Because offerings at Silvercrest Healing Sanctuary are intimate, intentional spaces with limited capacity, each registration matters. Supplies, space, and session flow are planned based on your presence.
Cancellation Policy
At Silvercrest Healing Sanctuary, great care goes into preparing our sessions, groups, and creative offerings — from gathering supplies and reserving materials to holding sacred space for each participant who registers. In order to support both the sustainability of this work and fairness to all involved, the following cancellation policy is in place:
Creative Nights Unplugged, Art & Presence Saturdays & Open Studio Sessions
Due to the low cost and limited capacity of these offerings, all sales are final and non-refundable.
If you're unable to attend, you may gift your spot to a friend — simply email info@silvercrestsanctuary.com in advance with their full name and email address so we can welcome them.
Groups (e.g., Therapy Groups, Cosmic Smashbooking Groups)

14 Days or More in Advance: If you cancel at least 14 days before the group’s start date, you may request a full refund minus a $50 administrative fee or receive a full credit toward a future group offering.

Less Than 14 Days: No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations made less than 14 days before the start of the group.
We deeply appreciate your understanding, as significant planning, preparation, and limited spots make last-minute cancellations difficult to accommodate.
Private Breathwork Sessions
These sessions require time, energetic preparation, and a space specifically held for you.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance and/or no shows will be subject to a $75 late cancellation fee. This applies whether you booked a single session or are using a multi-session package.
If you are running late or need to reschedule, please text Kailey at (401) 329-6527 as soon as possible.
In Case of Weather or Emergency
If an event must be rescheduled due to inclement weather, illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, you will be notified via text or email and offered a make-up date or alternative option.

As a small business, last-minute cancellations are difficult to absorb and affect the accessibility and sustainability of these offerings. Your understanding helps keep this work available and affordable for the community.

Ground of Being

As the last leaves fall and the deepening blue of the sky reflects the growing chill in the air, we begin to notice the longing to retreat within. During this 6-week group we will explore the ground of our being as we prepare to enter into the dark stillness of winter and the deep inner work that often unfolds during this time.
October 22, 2023 - Week 1 - Gathering
We begin our journey with gratitude and honor, as we weave the lineage of connection and claim our sovereignty in a Red Thread Ceremony. We also will be creating our Cosmic Smashbook, gathering our seeds of intention, and savoring the sweetness and goodness of being exactly where we need to be on our path of becoming.
October 29, 2023 - Week 2- Soul "Mulching"
Not unlike a garden, the ground of our being requires tending as it prepares for different seasons and the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. This week we dive into "soul mulching." Have weeds taken over, blocking your connection to what you need? How are you preserving, embodying, and holding what is vital to your ground of being?
November 5, 2023 -Week 3 - Releasing
In order to create something new, we have to clear space. This week we enter into the the terrain of letting go and the tender emptying of all that is no longer serving us. What old stories keep replaying in your life? What keeps you lingering in the shadows? What would you discover about yourself if you polished your heart and let your light be seen?
November 12, 2023 -Week 4 - Returning to the Roots
When we meet our brokenness with devotion and compassion the pathway of returning becomes more gentle. Sometimes we fear that we will only find more pain in our remembrance. However, we are an alchemical vessel with deep ancient roots. What nourishing wisdom is being held for you in your roots?
November 19, 2023 -Week 5 - Leaning into the Quiet Places
When was the last time you let yourself lean into quietness and be held? This week we explore the soft places of support within us. What is waiting to be awakened when the noise quiets in your mind and the whispers of your heart can be heard?
December 3, 2023 - Week 6 - Rest
“So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing” — T.S. Eliot. This week we enter our Temple of Rest. What is on the menu at the feast table of deep presence? What is your dance of stillness?

January 14, 2024 - Week 1 - Once Upon A Time...
